What a blessing to have a super man. My other half and I have been partners doing life together since 2010, wed in 2015, and look forward to many more to come! As 1 half of a couple myself, I focus on inclusion of partners in the journeys I assist with. My husband's presence was instrumental in my pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum experiences. IF only we knew then what we know now, however, together we made it through and I am forever grateful to have had such a selfless partner who cared for me and actively present for me and our family. His unconditional and unwavering love is the unsung hero in our love story and the reason I am able to answer the calling to serve in the birth world.

I am incredibly blessed to be a mother to four amazing children, whose ages span the dynamic journey from college down to elementary school. My path through motherhood was deeply shaped by giving birth to three of those beautiful children earth-side via cesareans. Navigating the unique physical, emotional, and systemic realities of surgical births, healing, and raising a blended, growing family fundamentally transformed me. Each of my pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences served as a profound initiation, forging the fire of a lifelong passion within me. Today, that fire burns brightly as a dedication to serve, protect, and uplift growing families right here in the Triad. My personal journey is the bedrock of my empathy, driving my commitment to ensure that local parents never have to walk through their own transformative parenting transitions alone.

I am a Red Cross infant, child, and adult first aid, AED, CPR, BLS and NRP certified, DTI trained full spectrum doula, IDI trained birth and postpartum doula, DONA trained birth doula, and MEGI trained and certified High Risk doula. Dedicated to serving mothers and their families in the community where they are and helping them to achieve safe, satisfying, and dignified births and postpartum experiences on their terms. I am the co-chair of the Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition, a PSI-NC regional liasion, and NC state liaision for the Sistersong Birthing Justice Care Fund. I am on the advisory board for Atrium/Wake Deacon doulas, A New Day Community Care, as well as their and LetsNspire and New Start Homes Program staff doula. I aim to close the gaps of doula awareness and accessibility in my community.

I am a International Doula Institute trained breastfeeding counselor as well as a Loving Support trained peer counselor and I aim to help establish and sustain breastmilk supplies for those who desire to breastfeed. I also facilitate safe informal milk sharing in my private community for moms.

I am an International Doula Institute trained childbirth educator whose objective is to empower you with knowledge to dispel fear of the unknown that is needed to make informed decisions and give informed consent in you and your baby's best interest during your pregnancy, labor, and birth. As a Certified ACTT Facilitator with the Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood, I empower Black birthing individuals and their families to confidently navigate the healthcare system and advocate for the respectful care they deserve by teaching the life-saving ACTT framework—Ask questions, Claim your space, Trust your body, and Tell your story—equipping parents and their support networks with the tools to confront bias, demand person-centered care, and prevent birth trauma. My goal in this role is to ensure that every birthing person has the knowledge and confidence to make their voice heard, protect their bodily autonomy, and experience a safe, dignified pregnancy and postpartum journey
WCPS trained to turn your sacred placenta into wellness tools to optimize your postpartum healing. I am Novant health and Biologix Solutions Blood-born Pathogens & Infection Control Certified to ensure the highest level of safety and sanitation for best results.

As a CITI trained researcher via Wake Forest Atrium and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I explore the intersections of maternal health and community action, aligning my endeavors with the core values, vision, and philosophy that underpin the foundation of TMS. I am a lead researcher for the By Mothers Project funded by the amazing Kate B. Reynolds Foundation and a doula in the Acure4Moms research study funded by PCORI. Through these projects I aim to deepen understanding of current disparities, foster a supportive environment for mothers and their families, doulas integration into the health system and community, all the while, actively doing our part to contribute to the advancement of maternal health practices and policies that resonate with TMS vision for community in relation to the respectful care of Black and Brown people. My collaborative endeavors not only inform TMS but also inspire meaningful change in the landscape of outdated maternal care as we know it.
I am a teacher and natural nurturer at heart. I provide guidance and support to fellow doulas, advanced maternal aged, teen parents, and those in between. Helping my peers to navigate the private and community doula profession and helping my community with the challenges of arriving at parenthood at no matter their age. I actively engage and volunteer with various local organizations and initiatives to address the needs of underrepresented groups, dedicating my free time to particularly serving teen mothers, Black women, and families. By amplifying their voices and fostering connections my advocacy efforts power community collaboration, leading to equitable access to resources. I am always seeking opportunities to make a positive impact in my community. I am deeply committed to enhancing the well-being of families and I am driven by a commitment to empower others, share knowledge, and foster resilience among those I encounter, ensuring they feel seen, supported, loved, and equipped to thrive in their journeys.
When I became a mother in 2012, I also became the founder of MOMS Tribe, a private community and support group for mothers on Facebook that addresses the support needs of over 200 members. December 2025 I created a space for fathers as well called, DADS Tribe. In addition, I established a safe space group chat aimed at uniting doulas of color in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County to uplift and empower one another in our shared mission to serve the community. From that curated space for Black doulas was born the vision to take it further. Working to increase the workforce and mobilize skilled doulas in the Triad, bridging the gaps in doula support for families in need. My role is truly a labor of love and is driven by a passion for fostering connection, support, and empowerment within our community removing barriers to culturally congruent doula support.
I am deeply proud to serve in these roles, I get to be a vital bridge between community needs and direct, impactful resources—advocating for bodily autonomy, healthcare equity, and sustainable support for marginalized communities. This partnership isn't just an extension of my work; it is the heartbeat of my ethos, ensuring that everything I do aligns with a deeper commitment to community care, collective healing, and reproductive justice."
I serve as a vital connection point for perinatal mental health advocacy and support across our region. I work closely with individuals, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that essential resources, evidence-based education, and peer support networks are readily accessible during the critical prenatal and postpartum periods. Perinatal mental health is a fundamental piece of overall community wellness, and my mission through PSI is to ensure that no parent or caregiver feels isolated, unsupported, or invisible on their journey.
I lead local, collaborative efforts dedicated to protecting our community’s most vulnerable infants and mothers via Forsyth County's Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition. Alongside public health advocates and community partners, I work to address the systemic disparities, social determinants of health, and barriers to care that impact birth outcomes right here in Forsyth County, where I was born a raised. Through community-driven education, advocacy, and equitable resource distribution, my focus is on ensuring every baby has a healthy start and every family has the wrap-around support they need to thrive.
